Utah Residents Directory is not a government office or records custodian. This private reference cannot retrieve or certify records, verify who lives at an address, or change an official roll. Contact the office that holds the record for those services. Call 911 for an emergency. If you believe someone is stalking or harassing you, contact local police.

Find the Right Utah Records Office

Start with the source that matches the record you need:

  • Property and address research: use the Utah street directory to follow address-keyed sources
  • Earlier directory volumes: browse the Utah city directory collections
  • One person's records: follow the Utah resident lookup guide
  • Office and custodian routes: start with Utah resident records offices
  • Records missing from a website: make a written request under Utah's GRAMA, Utah Code Title 63G, Chapter 2, to the records officer for the agency that holds the record

Utah GRAMA provides a right to inspect public records and obtain copies under §63G-2-201. Written requests are addressed in §63G-2-204, and fees in §63G-2-203. A request should include the requester's name, mailing address, daytime phone if available, and a reasonably specific description. The Open Records Portal is a statewide request channel; each agency's records officer is the custodian for records that agency holds. See the Utah GRAMA overview for more detail.
